Chole bathure - chandni chowk

Even if you aren't hungry it's aroma will just pull you...

Chole bathure is an all time fav for almost all the northies...it is one of the most populous street food of Delhi with a slight Punjabi influence liked in all the corners of North especially in the winter season. It is a combination of channa masala and bathure a fried bread made of maida.

From the street vendors to the posh restaurants - everyone serves their own version. It is prepared with slight changes here and there but what comes out at the end is all that matters. Hot steaming huge poories and the tangy tasty chole which is made like a gravy which is really hot and spicy. In fact if you are trying it out for the first time then you would just not stop fanning your mouth....
Large crispy bathures are served with perfect flavourful chole and some onion rings with pickle is just perfect. From a small shop in Delhi Sita Ram makes, what many Delhiites believe to be the perfect chole bathures. It is highly aromatic and flavoured dish with soft plump chickpeas in a rich, dense sauce that is perfect to eat with those soft and flaky bathures that comes hot from the wok deep fried.
It might be a bit heavy but it is the most satisfying food that will never fail to soothe your cravings.
It's just utterly yum and delicious....
